Daniel
Stewart
Chairman, Chief Executive Officer
The son of Stewart's Security founder Larry Stewart, Daniel
and business partner and company president
David Wiant purchased the company in 1998.
A native of Westerville, Ohio, Daniel earned a BA in English literature
and an MFA in writing from the Ohio State University. Prior to his
purchase of Stewart's Security, he served as a public policy analyst and
strategic planning consultant to the campaigns of candidates for the
U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and governor.
Additionally, he has more than fifteen years of experience in managerial
and communication planning, working with Fortune 500 companies,
not-for-profit organizations, and as a consultant to the
National Institute
of Child Health and Human Development.
Today, as Chief Executive Officer and the company's majority owner, his
responsibilities include oversight of all aspects of the company's
business, including strategic planning for future growth and
development. Under his guidance, Stewart's Security succeeded in
doubling its gross revenues in his first three years of management.
With his three children, Daniel resides in Madison, Wisconsin. In Madison, Daniel has served on the Board of
Trustees for the
Madison Children's Museum, as well as co-chair of the
Museum's Capital Campaign Steering Committee, a member of its New Museum
Steering Committee and a member of its New Museum Marketing Committee.
In 2003, he also served as the Museum's Interim Executive Director while the Board of
Trustees conducted a national search for a
permanent director.
Since 2003, Daniel also has served on the Board of Trustees
for Madison Country Day School,
including as its Board Chair since 2005. |
