Stewart's Security Service's Corporate Leadership Team

Daniel Stewart

Chairman, Chief Executive Officer

The son of Stewart's Security founder Larry Stewart, Daniel and business partner and company president David Wiant purchased the company in 1998.

A native of Westerville, Ohio, Daniel earned a BA in English literature and an MFA in writing from the Ohio State University.  Prior to his purchase of Stewart's Security, he served as a public policy analyst and strategic planning consultant to the campaigns of candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and governor.  Additionally, he has more than fifteen years of experience in managerial and communication planning, working with Fortune 500 companies, not-for-profit organizations, and as a consultant to the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development.

Today, as Chief Executive Officer and the company's majority owner, his responsibilities include oversight of all aspects of the company's business, including strategic planning for future growth and development. Under his guidance, Stewart's Security succeeded in doubling its gross revenues in his first three years of management.

With his three children, Daniel resides in Madison, Wisconsin. In Madison, Daniel has served on the Board of Trustees for the Madison Children's Museum, as well as co-chair of the Museum's Capital Campaign Steering Committee, a member of its New Museum Steering Committee and a member of its New Museum Marketing Committee.  In 2003, he also served as the Museum's Interim Executive Director while the Board of Trustees conducted a national search for a permanent director.

Since 2003, Daniel also has served on the Board of Trustees for Madison Country Day School, including as its Board Chair since 2005.
